Pokémon GO reveals a Halloween event with Shiny Greavard
Pokémon GO’s November 1–5 Halloween event introduces Shiny Greavard alongside costumed Pokémon in wild encounters and raids.
Before we dive in
Pokémon GO is a mobile game about discovering and collecting Pokémon. Players catch Pokémon, hatch Eggs and trade with other players to build their collections.
Events change which Pokémon and activities are available for a limited time. A Shiny Pokémon has a different colour scheme; an event debut does not mean every encounter will be Shiny. Check the announced dates before planning your playtime.
The update
Pokémon GO’s next Halloween event gives collectors another reason to check their maps. Shiny Greavard will make its debut alongside costumed Pokémon, with the announced event window running in early November.
Halloween 2026 Part II runs November 1 at 10:00 a.m. through November 5 at 8:00 p.m., using local time. It introduces Shiny Greavard, the differently coloured version of Greavard. The debut makes it available to encounter; it does not guarantee every Greavard will be Shiny.
Wild encounters include Litwick, costumed Rowlet, Gengar in a Spooky Festival costume and Greavard. Pikachu wearing a hat and capelet, plus Sinistea wearing a bow, appear in one-star raids. The announcement also says Mega Sableye reaches Super Max Level during this event.
