Sports Illustrated reports a $960,000 Cresselia sale in its weekly card roundup
Sports Illustrated reports five major Pokémon card sales led by Cresselia; we have not independently corroborated the transactions.

Before we dive in
Collectors sometimes have cards professionally graded for condition and authenticity. The grade, exact printing and individual copy can affect a transaction, so a headline sale is not a price tag for every card with the same Pokémon.
An auction result or reported completed sale is different from an asking price. Before drawing a market conclusion, check the original sale record and whether fees or other terms are included in the quoted total.
The update
Sports Illustrated’s weekly sales feature puts Cresselia at the top of a Pokémon-only list. The reported figures are unusually large, so this is an attributed account of the publication’s findings, rather than our own verified sales database.
The article names a PSA 10 Cresselia from Great Encounters as a reported $960,000 sale. It attributes its underlying information to Card Ladder and identifies an October 4 transaction. Mew, Detective Pikachu, Rayquaza and Lugia complete its list.
We have not independently checked those transaction records, including whether each result was completed and settled. The figures should therefore remain attributed to the report. They do not establish the value of an ordinary copy, nor predict what another collector would receive.
