Pokémon GO’s Rocket takeover brings Shadow Zekrom and a useful move window
The October 2–5 event adds Shadow Pokémon and lets players remove Frustration with a Charged TM.

Before we dive in
Pokémon GO is a phone game built around exploring real places, catching Pokémon, and battling. Team GO Rocket are computer-controlled opponents found at PokéStops and in balloons.
Defeating Rocket opponents can lead to encounters with Shadow Pokémon. Frustration is a move associated with these Pokémon; a Charged TM is an item used to change a charged attack.
The update
Team GO Rocket has interrupted the Harvest Festival. Beyond the new catches, the temporary move-change window is worth checking.
The event runs October 2–5. Shadow Zekrom joins Giovanni’s encounter lineup, alongside new Shadow species including Fomantis, Wimpod, and Sandygast and their evolutions.
Rocket balloons appear more often, and Charged TMs can remove Frustration during the event. Field research includes tasks to defeat a Rocket Grunt or purify Shadow Pokémon, with item rewards.
