Pokémon GO brings blue-costumed Pikachu and stamp rallies to Singapore
Singapore’s November 7–8 PokéXciting! event features blue-costumed Pikachu, airport stamp rallies, free research, and citywide gameplay bonuses.
Before we dive in
Pokémon GO is a mobile collecting game played using real-world locations. PokéStops are map locations players visit for items and activities; a stamp rally sends players to designated stops to collect a set of stamps.
Some celebrations are tied to a particular place. A Location Background records an encounter’s event setting, so this Singapore announcement does not promise those rewards to players everywhere.
The update
Pikachu is dressing for an airport adventure. The October 7 announcement details Singapore’s PokéXciting! celebration at Changi Airport and Jewel.
The main event runs November 7–8, from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. local time. Its airport rally has five stamps and rewards an encounter with PokéXciting! Pikachu in blue, with a local background. A separate cross-region stamp is already available at Terminal 3.
Citywide features include two free Timed Research tracks, themed encounters, and Gigantamax Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise battles. Bonuses include doubled PokéStop XP and halved trade Stardust costs. Airport stamp activities and citywide gameplay have different geographic scopes.
