Pokémon HOME adds one-way FireRed and LeafGreen transfers
HOME now accepts FireRed and LeafGreen Pokémon through irreversible transfers and increases Premium storage to 9,000 Pokémon.

Before we dive in
Pokémon HOME is a storage and transfer service for Pokémon collected in compatible games. Think of it as a shared collection space, rather than a game where you explore a region or fight battles.
FireRed and LeafGreen are Pokémon adventures set in the Kanto region. Their Pokédex records the species you have collected. Transfer compatibility determines whether those Pokémon can leave their original adventure for HOME.
The update
Pokémon HOME’s latest update connects FireRed and LeafGreen collections to the storage service. It also expands paid storage, but the most important catch is that transferred Pokémon cannot go back.
Version 4.1.0 allows transfers from FireRed and LeafGreen one box at a time. These transfers are one-way, and only one of each species of Special Pokémon can be transferred from a game. The game’s Pokédex syncs when a Pokémon is sent.
Premium members now have storage for 300 boxes, or 9,000 Pokémon. The update also allows Pokémon caught in GO Safari Balls to enter HOME; they appear in Strange Balls there.
The rollout initially encountered extended maintenance. Serebii subsequently reported availability for everyone. The separate Celebi gift requires depositing a Pokémon from a FireRed or LeafGreen game with a completed Kanto Pokédex; it is claimed through Mystery Gift on mobile.
