Pokémon TCG Pocket is changing battles and shared decks this month
Pocket’s late-October update replaces solo challenges and revises rental decks; claim outstanding rewards before the old systems disappear.

Before we dive in
Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket is a mobile card-collecting and battling game. Players assemble decks from digital cards and use them in matches; it is separate from buying physical Pokémon card packs.
A deck is the collection of cards you bring to a battle. Rental decks let you try a prepared selection, while solo battle challenges offer another way to play and earn rewards.
The update
Pocket is reorganizing how players battle and discover decks. The changes are planned for the end-of-month update, and some existing challenges and rewards will disappear as the new systems arrive.
Step-Up battles will be replaced by a system whose difficulty rises as players progress. Outstanding rewards from the old challenges will no longer be redeemable after the update.
Community Decks will let players search publicly shared decks and build them. Reworked rentals will allow unlimited use of decks based on the latest booster packs.
The current rental decks, theme-deck lists and Deck Missions will be removed at the end of October. Release Celebration Gold sales and the Pikachu 001/P-B offer are also ending.
