Pokémon TCG Live’s October update fixes frozen matches and card effects
Version 1.43.0 addresses matchmaking problems, incorrect card effects and Build & Battle entry issues.

Before we dive in
Pokémon TCG Live is the digital version of the Pokémon Trading Card Game. Players build decks and battle online using Pokémon, Trainer and Energy cards, rather than opening physical packs at a table.
Its limited events offer different ways to play alongside ordinary matches. An event schedule tells you when a format is available; a client update fixes or changes the app itself. These are separate from physical product releases.
The update
Pokémon TCG Live’s October patch focuses on getting battles to behave properly. The official notes list fixes for stalled matches and several card interactions, alongside new Build & Battle events.
Version 1.43.0 was scheduled for October 6, with no planned downtime. The notes address a freeze when canceling Build & Battle matchmaking and a waiting-screen problem when two players challenge each other simultaneously.
Card fixes include Lumiose City’s Bench interaction and Hearthflame Mask Ogerpon’s deck shuffle. The patch also addresses event entry failing despite sufficient Event Tokens, as well as accessibility settings that did not fully disable certain animations. These changes concern the digital app, rather than announced changes to printed cards.
