Pokémon Scarlet and Violet bring back a tough Tyranitar boss battle
The limited-time seven-star event lets each game save catch one special Tyranitar before October 8 at 23:59 UTC.

How these Pokémon boss battles work
Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are Pokémon games in which you build a team and battle. Tera Raid Battles are cooperative boss fights against a powerful Pokémon. A seven-star raid is a high-difficulty event, so it calls for more preparation than an ordinary encounter.
Tyranitar is the Pokémon featured in this event. This version has a Ghost Tera Type: a special battle typing used when it Terastallizes. That typing matters when deciding which attacks and team to bring.
The update
Scarlet and Violet players have another chance to take on a difficult event boss and catch its special Tyranitar. The battle is available for a limited time and uses a Ghost Tera Type.
Mighty Tyranitar has returned in seven-star Tera Raid Battles with a Ghost Tera Type. The event is part of the series of powerhouse Pokémon raid reruns and ends October 8 at 23:59 UTC.
Each save file can catch only one event Tyranitar. The event window is therefore a chance to obtain that particular encounter, rather than an unlimited supply of catches.
The deadline uses UTC, not your device’s local time. Check what it means in your region and review the raid’s battle details before choosing a team. The announcement identifies the boss and typing; it does not provide a complete winning strategy.
