Before we dive in
Pokémon GO is a mobile game about discovering and collecting Pokémon. Players catch Pokémon, hatch Eggs and trade with other players to build their collections.
Events change which Pokémon and activities are available for a limited time. A Shiny Pokémon has a different colour scheme; an event debut does not mean every encounter will be Shiny. Check the announced dates before planning your playtime.
The update
A new Pokémon GO Community Day has been announced, focusing on Pawniard, with various rewards and bonuses available to players.
The Community Day event will take place on November 21st, 2026, from 2pm to 5pm in each local time zone. During this time, players will benefit from 25% Incubator Distance, 2* Catch Candy, and double the chance to get XL Candy. Additionally, 3-hour Incense and Lure Modules will be available.
The event will also introduce the move Kowtow Cleave to Kingambit. A special ticket can be purchased to access Special Research, providing players with exclusive content and rewards. This event is a great opportunity for players to catch Pawniard and add it to their collection.
