Before we dive in

Pokémon TCG Pocket is the mobile card-collecting and battling game, separate from the physical Pokémon TCG. A new expansion adds digital cards to collect and use in decks; it is not a release of physical booster packs.

Dual Fusion begins Pocket’s C Series. Dual typing is a new feature for this game, so older assumptions about deck matchups may need revisiting once the full card details are available.

The update

Pocket’s next expansion has a name and a release date. Dual Fusion arrives October 29, led by Mega Mewtwo X and the game’s first dual-type cards.

The October 20 reveal names Mega Mewtwo X as a featured Pokémon and confirms the October 29 release. The announcement introduces dual-type cards; a complete evaluation of their competitive impact needs the full card list and rules.

The second-anniversary campaign runs October 29–December 14 and includes a ticket for a pack guaranteed to contain a two-star card. Promo Reissue Drop and Wonder Pick events run October 29–November 12, giving players another opportunity to obtain B Series promos.

Dual Fusion’s Emblem Event and Battle Rally Missions run November 5–15. Further announced windows include Promo Pack C Series Vol. 1 activities November 17–December 1 and themed promo-card events November 25–December 25. These are separate schedules, rather than one deadline for every reward.
